I'm doing okay, thanks for asking. How are you?

Unlike taking pictures in the surf, which is a full-body affair, taking pictures in still water is slower and more contemplative. Sometimes I even get to see a little bit of what I'm photographing before I photograph it.

I've been thinking about doing some pictures of duckweed for the past week, so I stopped by the lake on my way back from a dental appointment. Only one cavity, oh well. I'm grateful it isn't bothering me. The other dominant feature are the roots of some other kind of aquatic plant I don't know how to identify. I have photos of it from above, so I'll ask around.

I've been spending most of my creative time writing about my recent bike trip through Massachusetts and Vermont. And since that's mainly about the writing and not the photos, you can find it in the blog section. A few of the photos are still nice, but they're not as formally arranged as I tend to do here.
