Two Views and an Averting_
An unusually warm day enjoyed in spite of architecture

Taken during a mental health outing with my friend Nathan on Saturday the 29th of March 2025. Did it work? Suprisingly. Sorry for the cynical tone to follow! But in the end, I chose three photos that happen to take a rather dim view of this part of the city.
An apocalyptic air, nearing 80 degrees farenheit, warm and thick until it became gusty, cool, and damp. Heavy clouds filtering in somewhat smoggy light.
Spring where we found it was rather ugly in my opinion. Gangly, half-formed, deformed garden life like adolescents cast in Cronenbergian rubber. Cheery colors; horrifying shapes. Monstrous proportions beyond.
I'm avoiding putting up pictures of people and friends. I think I'm simply projecting my own increasing desire to be apart from social media or anything resembling it. I'm also practicing ruthless editing and so, if my rare pictures of people aren't 100% excellent or relevant, out they go.
If I were more interested in photographing people right now, then City Island would have been paradise. It was crawling with them, like angry little ants defending a pile of sand. I mean, that's the visual effect of the place. Lots of very busy details crammed into a relatively small amount of space, like an overly-ambitious model train landscape, or Busytown.
