Taken June 30, 2025.

It's a neat trick. It's a gimmick.

Are a few of the thoughts I have set aside when I'm doing these.

If I'm feeling more confident, I say: this is gay landscape. This is something I've dreamed of doing for over 20 years. This is not not captial-pee Performance Art.

Of course logically this means I need to do this with dirt and trees and rocks and so forth. That should be interesting.

There are far more flattering, more revealing, maybe even more human pictures of my face from these efforts. But as I've said before, that's not really my interest, also perhaps a distraction. It is in fact possible to do queer photography that isn't porn or glamor (as genuinely interested as I am in the intersection of these things).

Interestingly, I do find many of these rather erotic. You should ask me about it next time you see me.
